Dr. Tara Eaton joined Acorn Animal Hospital in 2014. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In search of a warmer climate, she attended veterinary school at North Carolina State University, and earned her doctorate in 2005. She continued her training at Tufts University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Eaton then moved back to western Massachusetts and spent the following 8 years working as an emergency veterinarian at a very busy 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital where she was responsible for managing complex critical-care, medicine and surgical cases in the ICU in addition to treating the variety of patients that presented to the emergency service. In 2014 she returned to the Franklin area where she happily resides with her family and young cat, Rosie. Dr. Eaton enjoys music, hiking, working in the yard, and spending time with her family.
